He was born September 2, 1944, in Crawfordsville, Indiana, the son of George Wayne and Thelma Louise Rickey. Lawrence served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a mechanic by trade. Lawrence was a member of Liberty Baptist Church West Indianapolis.
