USC Commencement
The 140th Commencement Ceremony at the University of Southern California is May 12, 2023, and begins at 8:30 a.m., at Alumni Memorial Park. Individual school ceremonies will follow the main ceremony.
MD Program
The MD ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at the Galen Center and is expected to last two hours. Doors open at 2:00 p.m. and seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Master's, PhD & DNAP Programs
The PhD, DNAP, MPH, M.S. ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 9:15 a.m. at the Galen Center, 3400 S. Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA 90089. It is expected to last approximately two hours. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

I’m a doctor! This past Saturday I became the first Dr Mendoza, which rivals my past accomplishment of being a first-generation college graduate. I powered through these goals inspired by the sacrifices my parents made for their love of education. I’d like to give a special thank you to my mom, my guardian angel, who couldn’t obtain an education of her own due to health issues. I finished the mission inspired by her love and education, and the wisdom she gave me before she passed. I’d like to thank my father for teaching me to work hard and never give up, no matter the odds. He led by example by waking up before sunrise everyday and returning home after the sun set. I could always rely on him to fix my car when it broke down or any emergencies I had while on the road. Thank you to my little sisters who played big sibling when I was sad from medical school. I appreciate the love and support and years of letting me vent about the bs I had to deal with ❤️ and to my love, Gabby, thank you for supporting me throughout medical school during a pandemic. I wouldn’t have made it through without all the cute and well-planned dates and and study breaks throughout the years. Lastly, thank you to my friends and family who believed in me along the way. It wouldn’t have been possible without my village, so thank you 🫡🥲 #ksomgrad

Yesterday I had the honor of receiving my medical degree and become the second Dr. Jimenez. On Friday, alexisberkovits graduated from medical school as well to become the first Dr. Berkovits. Soon I will start my plastic and reconstructive surgery at uscplasticsurgery and Alexis at uclapedsresidency. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.

It also offered me the opportunity to expand my network introducing me to mentors I would have never otherwise have met.” 💛❤️“My favorite part of the program had to be all the live sessions we had. Event hough the program was online the live sessions made me feel more connected to my classmates and professors.” 💭Lorena advises incoming students to that time management will be key if you are taking classes and working! 🔜Lorena will be applying to PA school and is hopeful to continue to work in the public health sector applying my knowledge! I liked how each class integrated aspects of global medical issues, as well as a focus on medicine in rural populations.” 💛❤️“My favorite memory in my program was going to Panama with my fellow classmates to volunteer with Floating Doctors! It was the best hands-on clinical experience I could have asked for. What I learned from that trip, I will be able to carry with me in my future endeavors.” 💭Chloe advises incoming students to "have an open mind and understanding of healthcare in different countries.
